JOHN C. “JACK” EHRICH

Jack obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2009, after earning his bachelor’s degree in 2006 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After previously practicing with an Omaha firm, Jack returned to practice in his hometown in 2011, establishing Ehrich Law Office, P.C., L.L.O. with his mother, Sandra K. Ehrich. Jack and Sandy joined with partner Lindsey Buchheit and established Buchheit & Ehrich Law, PLC on January 1, 2025.
Jack is licensed to practice law in Nebraska and Iowa. His practice focuses on estate planning, probate, trust administration, business/corporate formations, contract law, and real estate law. Jack holds the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) designation from the National Association of Estate Planners, has annually been named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, is a member of the Siouxland Estate Planning Council, as well as a member of the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law sections of both the Nebraska and Iowa State Bar Associations. Since 2013, Jack has served as an elected member of the Nebraska House of Delegates, the governing body of the Nebraska State Bar Association, and currently serves as a member of the Judicial Nominations Committee.
Jack has served on several committees and boards for non-profit organizations, including as past President of the Siouxland Boys and Girls Club, past board member for the South Sioux City Community Foundation, South Sioux City Chamber, and Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Nebraska-College of Law. Jack is a past President and current board member for Camp High Hopes in Sioux City. From 2017-2019 Jack served as a member of the City Council of South Sioux City. Jack was awarded Top Ten under 40 in Siouxland Magazine in 2022.
Jack and his wife, Ranee, have two children and are active in their endeavors. When not in the office or with family, Jack can usually be found on the golf course, or rooting for his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and New England Patriots. As a Siouxland native, Jack continues to be passionate about our great community and in making it the best possible place to live, work, and raise a family.
